There has been an explosion in home appliances in the past few years but the most common type is intelligent lighting and smart lock. The latter sometimes proved to be a bit controversial, given their security implications. The smart key Wyze, however, has been criticized because of a different defect, which prevents it from connecting to a smart home platform that is almost everywhere on Google. However, which eventually changes, and the Wyze key now finally speaks Google Home so you can lock or unlock your door with your voice power.
The Wyze key actually has voice control, but it is limited to Amazon Alexa when it was launched again in 2019. It tempted a physical wireless keypad as an additional input method and support promised for Google Assistant in 2020. It did not happen last year, clearly, but Wyze Finally made good on his promise.
The latest update for Android Wyze applications includes support for Wyze Lock integration with Google Home. This means that the owner will be able to manage and control their smart keys from one Google home hub, both smart speakers or smartphones. This also means it can unlock the Wyze key with a voice using Google Assistant, assume you take the steps needed to set it.
The necessary steps involve setting PIN for the key. It seems that you have to speak this pin when unlocking the door with your voice, which can be awkward and complicated, not to mention it’s more safe. As Android police said, it could also be vulnerable to an error.
The Wyze application update on Android also has other items for other Wyze products. It includes a holiday mode indicator for wyze bulb and new no-go zone rotation for Wyze robot vacuum. If there is, the update shows how many smart home products are Wyze under the belt, which can mostly be controlled through Google Home, now including the Wyze key.
